76th Academy Awards
The 76th Annual Academy Awards ceremony was held on February 29, 2004 at the Kodak Theater (later named The Dolby Theatre). Best Picture nominations included The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King (winner), Lost in Translation, Master and Commander, Mystic River, and Seabiscuit. The Best Actor Oscar went to Sean Penn in Mystic River and the Best Actress Oscar went to Charlize Theron in Monster.
