58th Academy Awards

The 58th Annual Academy Awards ceremony was held on March 24, 1986 at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion. Best Picture nominations included Out of Africa (winner), Kiss of the Spider Woman, Prizzi’s Honor, The Color Purple, and Witness. The Best Actor Oscar went to William Hurt in Kiss of the Spider Woman and the Best Actress Oscar went to Geraldine Page in The Trip to Bountiful.
