51st Academy Awards

The 51st Annual Academy Awards ceremony was held on April 9, 1979 at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion. Best Picture nominations included The Deer Hunter (winner), An Unmarried Woman, Coming Home, Heaven Can Wait, and Midnight Express. The Best Actor Oscar went to Jon Voight in Coming Home and the Best Actress Oscar went to Jane Fonda in Coming Home.
